The remaining gaps have been filled in Marianne Elliott's Company, so joining Rosemary Craig (Bobbi) will be:

Couples:

Ashley Campbell & Daisy Maywood ... Peter & Susan

Mel Geidroyc & Gavin Spokes... Sarah & Harry

Jennifer Saayeng & Richard Henders... Jenny & David

Patti LuPone & Ben Lewis... Joanne & Larry

Alex Gaumond & Jonathan Bailey... Jamie (Amy) & Paul

Boyfriends:

Richard Fleeshman... Andy (April)

George Blagden... PJ (Marta)

Matthew Seadon-Young... Theo (Kathy)

A number of the newly announced cast have had Sondheim experience. Matt Seadon-Young played Anthony in the ENO production of Sweeney Todd alongside Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson, and was John Wilkes Booth in the Gate Theatre Dublin production of Assassins; Richard Henders was Olivier-nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for his role as Manjiro in the Donmar's Pacific Overtures;

and Ben Lewis played Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm in the Sydney Opera House production of A Little Night Music and was in the 2012 Side By Side by Sondheim gala performance at the Theatre Royal, Sydney.

The most recent announcement – that the role of Amy will be gender-swapped to Jamie – means that the tongue-twisting patter song "Getting Married Today" will have a gay-wedding twist. Paul will be played by Alex Gaumond (who played the Beadle in the ENO Sweeney and the Baker in Into the Woods at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester) and Jamie will be played by Jonathan Bailey, who is probably best known for his role in the TV series Broadchurch as Olly Stevens).

Company opens at the Gielgud Theatre on 26 September 2018 and runs until 22 December 2018. Book tickets here (but Society members should check emails for details of our group discounts).
