Let us entertain you! The Stephen Sondheim Society Presents… is back at the Phoenix Artist Club in London, with star guest Gemma Sutton (Louise/Rose in the Chichester/Savoy Gypsy) joined by SSSSPOTY finalist Tom Blackmore (fresh from his stint in Grindr: The Opera!) and newcomer Rebecca d’Lacey from Trinity Laban Conservatoire. As ever, Tim McArthur and Aaron Clingham will be our hosts for the evening, which will celebrate the best of Sondheim plus some musical theatre classics and a splash of new writing for the stage. Tom Blackmore… Tom trained on the three-year BA Musical Theatre course at the London College of Music and was a finalist in the 2017 Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year competition. He most recently starred as Occulto in the critically acclaimed Grindr: The Opera for Above The Stag. Other stage credits include: Ianto/James Abbott in My Land’s Shore (All Star Productions), Aladdin in Aladdin (Stage & Production House), Marco in Metropolis (All Star Productions) and Ray in Gangbang (Theatre 1880). Theatre in training: Fredrik in A Little Night Music and Gee-Tar in West Side Story.

Rebecca d’Lacey… Rebecca is currently in her final year as a student on the three-year Musical Theatre course at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. An experienced dancer, actress, classical and pop singer with a vocal range of G3–E6, Rebecca performs as a children's entertainer for Bolinja, most commonly playing Princess Anna from Frozen at parties and music festivals. She appeared as Joyce in Betty Blue Eyes for Stratford Circus Theatre, and was a featured singer in the short film She Moon Love Spell. She also featured as part of the Street Chorus is Bernstein's Mass at The Royal Festival Hall, conducted by Marin Alsop.

Gemma Sutton… Gemma graduated in 2007 from Arts Ed, London, and will be best-known to Sondheim fans for her roles as June and then Louise in Jonathan Kent’s acclaimed production of Gypsy at the Chichester Festival Theatre and Savoy Theatre in 2014–15. She has just finished in the title role of Sweet Charity in Paul Hart’s production at the Watermill Theatre, and prior to this played Angel in Adam Lenson’s critically acclaimed revival of Kander and Ebb's The Rink at the Southwark Playhouse. Other theatre includes: Xy in Nuni (Other Palace), Fran in Drew McOnie’s Strictly Ballroom (West Yorkshire Playhouse/The Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto), Marian in The Go-Between (Apollo Theatre), Maria in The Sound of Music (Cairo), Julie Jordan in Carousel (Arcola Theatre), The Girl in Blues in the Night (Hackney Empire), Roxy Hart in Chicago (Curve Theatre), Drunk (Curve), Amber von Tussle in Hairspray (No.1 Tour), Sally in Me & My Girl (Kilworth House Theatre), Enid u/s Elle Woods in Legally Blonde (Savoy), Ruby in Dames at Sea (Union Theatre), Constance in The Kissing Dance (Jermyn Street Theatre), Laurey in Oklahoma! (No.1 Tour), Wendy in Peter Pan (Sheffield Lyceum), Babe in Crimes of the Heart (Union), and Careen O’Hara u/s Melanie in Gone with the Wind (New London Theatre).
