SSSSPOTY 2026
Applications are now open for this year's SSSSPOTY competition.
Round 1 auditions will be made via video applications, and it costs £25 to submit an audition. To apply, make a payment using the link opposite and you will receive the full application instructions. You need to complete the application form and upload your video performing a song with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim before 11 pm on Wednesday 25th March.
If you are successful in this first round, you will be invited to perform a live audition in front of the Chair of the Judges and West End Musical Director Nigel Lilley in a Central London venue on Sunday 12th April.
Twelve finalists (plus two reserves) will then be selected to perform on the stage of the Sondheim Theatre in London's West End, in front of a panel of celebrity judges, on Sunday 7th June. The winner will take home £1,000 in prize money, with £500 awarded to the runner-up.
Applications are open to all students on a music, musical-theatre or dramatic arts course, and entrants must be at least 18 years of age as of 6 June 2026.
