Listen: Another National Anthem

If you've not already added the new cast recording of Classic Stage Company's off-Broadway revival of Assassins to your digital collection (and why not?!), then this might convince you: "Another National Anthem", performed by Ethan Slater and the company.

The show's revival was directed by the CSC Artistic Director John Doyle and sadly ended its run a few days prematurely, owning to cases of COVID-19. A cast recording was made after the closing and was released digitally on 18 March, with physical CDs to be sold from 15 April.

Assassins features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by John Weidman from an idea by Charles Gilbert Jr, direction by John Doyle, and music direction and orchestrations by Greg Jarrett.
