Company wins two Evening Standard Awards
Company's Director Marianne Elliott and star Rosalie Craig both took home trophies at the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, which took place this evening at London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
Elliott won the Milton Shulman Award for Best Director while Craig won for Best Musical Performance.
Company received four nominations, but lost out on two, to Hamilton for Best Musical and Miriam Buether for Best Design (The Jungle, Young Vic/Playhouse).
Craig fought off stiff competition from Sharon D Clarke (Caroline, or Change), Arinzé Kene (Misty), Kelli O’Hara (The King and I) and Adrienne Warren (Tina). For the Directing award, Elliott saw off Stephen Daldry (The Inheritance), Robert Hastie (The York Realist), Phyllida Lloyd (Tina) and Ian Rickson (Translations).
